OUR HOUSE!!!

We started digging the foundation for our house the second week in March! We only go out once a week to look at the progress and it is amazing how much our builders get done in one weeks time!

Here is the foundation

The next week, it was almost completely framed!

The next few couple weeks we went out we forget to take any pictures, but this is Ken showing off his bedroom!

And here is Eastons room, he is so excited to have his own room again.

This is where the kitchen will be

And here is the entry

We have a massive 4 car garage and are so excited to finally have a garage.

This is our house! We are so excited to go into a new chapter with our little family. I never knew what to expect with building but it has been so fun to pick out exactly what we want and to see it come to life. If anyone is looking for a builder, we highly recommend Castle Creek Homes!

Batter Up!

We signed Easton up for a soccer league and a Tee ball league and it has been so much fun watching him! He plays 3 times a week and looks forward to it all day long. Ken is his biggest fan, whenever Easton scores a goal Ken claps and yells for him, too cute!

His coach has them stretch before each game so they don't "pull" any muscles

Easton has turned in to an amazing soccer player, he is a mad man out on the field. He scored 5 goals last game and 3 goals the week before that. He also blocks the other teams shots at the goal.

Ken thinks it is so great to get to crawl all around and explore at the field house. He also loves to eat all the little black rubber things they put in the turf

This is our first year of playing tee ball and Easton thinks it is the greatest thing to ever happen to him. He got to pick out his number and his picked #4 so he can be like his Daddy

He was so nervous about forgetting which way to run at his first game, but he figured it out. He can also smack that ball clear to the outfield

So we are into the Amazing Race and we love the cowboys, Jet and Cord. Each week, Easton has to get on his cowboy boots and his hat so he can be like the cowboys. He wouldnt stay still for long enough to take his picture but we got Ken in on the action!

Happy Heavenly Birthday Kamdyn!

For Kamdyn's 2nd birthday, we had all our family come up and we ate yummy soup and rolls. Then we went up to the cemetery and sang Happy Birthday and did a balloon release. After Easton let go of his balloon, he was so excited all day to send a balloon to Kamdyn, he came running over to me and told me that he saw Kamdyn reach down and grab a balloon. I asked him what color she grabbed and he said the white one, so it would match her white dress. I just love this kid to pieces! We also asked our family to donate money to the most amazing cause, A Good Grief which raises money to pay for childrens headstones. We were able to send $500 to A Good Gried in Kamdyns name. The only thing that would have made this day better, would be to have our little girl with us. Thank you to everyone who donated and for all the support you have given our family. We love you all and are so grateful!

JANUARY

Some of my favorite people, Becky and Tarah. We went out for one last time before Tarah moved way too far away from here
I seriously took 10 pictures of these 3 trying to get a good one, this is the best one out of all 10

Zac had to go to Vegas for work so we tagged along with him. Unfortunately we are the worst picture takers ever and only took 2 pictures the entire time we were there. This is at New York New York

Waiting for the water show to start at the Bellagio

Zac turned the big 2 7, what an old man I am married to!

Freezing our guts out at the Canyons

We signed Easton up for ski school at the Canyons and he had such a blast. He was such a trooper, we dropped him of at 9 and the picked him up at 3:30. He went up this magic carpet and down the little hill at least one hundred times.

He had the funniest snow plow, he stuck his bum clear out in the air and would throw both arms out to his side! He was so good at stopping though. We are so proud of him and all that he is willing to try. He is such a fun little boy!

Disneyland and Christmas and sometime in between!

We bought Easton a recliner because he is always trying to steal mine, but it looks like someone stole his. Ken is in love with this chair!
We went to Disneyland a couple weeks before Christmas and had a blast! The first day we went we were able to ride every ride and never wait in line, it was unreal. There were so many people walking the streets but no one riding the rides. Easton went on every ride except for Indiana Jones because he is still a bit too short.

I have issues with closing my eyes when we take pictures so ignore me and look at the boys. Ken wanted to grab all the characters faces and would get so mad that we wouldn't let him.

We had so much fun but I have never been so exhausted in my entire life. Disneyland with a baby gets pretty tiring, but all in all was definately worth it.

I was shoveling the walks and Easton wanted to come outside. I let him build a snowman while I shoveled. When I got done, he made a snowball the size of a baseball so I helped him through this alien looking snowman together and called it good.

We went iceskating for Christmas Eve and Easton was not so sure about it. Zac has only been skating once before so he and Easton hung out while Ken and I cruised around the ice.

Christmas Eve PJ's.

Opening presents Christmas morning. Easton got some heelys, a skateboard, and lots of other toys.

Ken got so excited with every present he opened and was so much fun to watch. He would throw his arms out and grunt with excitement with each present.

WORST BLOGGER EVER!

Since I am the worlds worst blogger, here are a few things you missed the past year. Zac got the boys all excited to cheer on the Reds, and SUPRISE! they let him down once again...
Easton was a soldier for Halloween (airforce if you ask him) and Ken was a little tiger

Easton mastered riding a two wheeler bike.

Zac and I ran a 5K with my Dad and two sisters in Helper and then ran another one in Salt Lake a few months later.

Easton is absolutely in love with playing in the river at Sugar House Park.
Ken is such a happy baby and loves to show of his smiles, he is also quite the flirt...

Mother

I thought of you and closed my eyes
And prayed to God today
I asked "What makes a Mother?"
And I know I heard Him say."

A Mother has a baby"
This we know is true"
But God can you be a Mother,
When your baby's not with you?"

"Yes, you can," He replied
With confidence in His voice"
I give many women babies,
When they leave is not their choice.

Some I send for a lifetime,
And others for the day.
And some I send to feel your womb,
But there's no need to stay."

"I just don't understand this God
I want my baby to be here."
He took a deep breath andcleared His throat,
And then I saw the tear.

"I wish I could show you,
What your child is doing today.
If you could see your child's smile,
With all the other children and say...

'We go to Earth to learn our lessons,
Of love and life and fear.
My Mommy loved me oh so much,
I got to come straight here.

I feel so lucky to have a Mom,
Who had so much love for me.
I learned my lessons very quickly,
My Mommy set me free.

I miss my Mommy oh so much,
But I visit her every day.
When she goes to sleep,
On her pillow's where I lay

I stroke her hair and kiss her cheek,
And whisper in her ear.
Mommy don't be sad today,
I'm your baby and I'm here.'

"So you see my dear sweet ones,
your children are okay.
Your babies are born here in My home,
And this is where they'll stay.

They'll wait for you with Me,
Until your lesson's through.
And on the day that you come home
they'll be at the gates for you.

So now you see what makes a Mother,
It's the feeling in your heart
it's the love you had so much of
Right from the very start."

I was reading a blog of a couple who lost a little girl in a drowing accident and someone posted this poem and it just touched my heart and brought so many tears to my eyes. I was thinking on Sunday at church, that if Kamdyn were still with us it would have been her first time to go to nursery. I am always thinking about what she would have been like. Easton just cried the first two months he had to go to nursery, would she have done that too or would she have just walked right in and not looked back. We only got a few short weeks to get to know Kamdyn and so it is hard to wonder what she would be like. It is amazing being a Mom, it is amazing how you can instantly love someone the second you hold them or see them for the first time. It is amazing how much you can feel our Heavenly Fathers love when you experience trials that you can't face on your own. I love this poem and I love that I have my own little angel who is also waiting for the day that we can all be reunited as a family.
